honestly no its not acne. I look at personality. I have a clear face and im atractive but my boyfriend has a lot of acne. but its his personality that makes me ignore the acne. girl, you are in seventh grade.I promise the acne will go away! I used to have really bad acne. when I was in seventh grade but its all gone now and im a junior in high school
I had acne when I was younger and it really does some damage to your self esteem. To answer your question, no, people don't only notice your acne. It's very common at your age which makes it almost like having braces... you're certainly not the only 13 year old to ever deal with this problem. That being said, I think that you should visit a dermatologist. It would save your mom from having to purchase more over the counter products that really don't work, and I think it would help you feel much better about yourself, which is the most important thing. Two things that worked well for me were Proactiv (over the counter) and Differin gel (prescription topical medication) along with a 3 month dose of antibiotics, but a dermatologist can assess your skin and tell you what's best. If it's not possible to visit a doctor I definitely think you should try the Proactiv ... it will help. I hope this gets better for you - I know how difficult it is to deal with. Good luck.
honestly people are only as pretty as their personalities I have been where you are and what you need is to forget what you say to yourself in the back of your head and know you are beautiful no matter what you are told. All my life I have had sever acne and thought I was ugly but now I am a model trust me you are as pretty as you feel you are. Try acne free it did wonders for me 500% better than proactive and a lot cheaper. good luck and know your beautiful
it doesnt really matter all that much, but if it does bother you then do something about it to make you feel better abut yourself
if anything dont touch your face as much unless you have just washed hands touching your face is the #1 cause of acne
I dont really, heaps of my friends have it but they just end up piling on the make up. besides its wats inside that counts! Everyone is beautiful in their own way. So if some b*tchs decied to give you a hard time just tell them to grow up. Well for my face I take my makeup off evey night and cleanse my face, tone it then moustrize with and oil free face moutriser. But always in the shower or whenever you use warm water also use and exfoliation glove. repeat every day twice a day before you go to bed/ in the shower and when you go and brush your teeth in the morning
works for me
I have very mild acne, I'm 18 and my girldfriend doesn't care at all. At its worst point it was pretty bad but not awful but it wasn't anything awful. I know what you mean, it does impact on your self esteem, but I heard the best thing the other day and that is that the people who mind don't matter and the people who matter don't mind.
If you're interested in some good products (these might not be available in the US if you're from there, I'm in the UK) then buy some Simple face cleaning wipes, Pear's Natural sopes and Clearasil Deap Treatment wash or something like that. That has worked really well for me the past few months. Occasionaly you get the odd break out but it's so much better. You can also try accutane which my friend did and it worked, but be careful because you can't drink any alcohol whilst your on an accutane cycle (which lasts 3 months I believe). For a full treatment you stay on accutane for 2 years across a few 3 month cycles, but make an informed decision because it can also really screw up your body (dry skin etc) but I suppose its worth it in the end.
You are only 13 though so I'd just let your body go through it, it will get better someday and nothing lasts forever. As long as you dont pick at spots too much there is no permanent damage. I hope this helped.

Acne?
I was just wondering if acne makes a person ugly... I am 13 in 7th grade and have mild-moderate acne...I was wondering if people my age only look at me for my acne. I have had it for like 2 years now and my self esteem is about as low as it comes......
please BE HONEST.. if it does then I will try harder to fix it...I have tried about 13 products and my mom is sick of buying a bunch of stuff that doesnt work
