Abortion debate

Wicca Asked by knowledgekeeper 7 months ago, 4 answers.

Why is abortion questioned in america? I know it's not humane or what ever people call it, your killing a baby that hasnt breathed a breath yet, but it doesnt have feeling it doesnt think so its a tomato and this is america a FREE COUNTRY so even if its...

not right other people should be able to do it if they want, no mother wants to give birth and give it to adoption, and the baby might not even be able to survive in an orphanage, its wrong to kill a baby but its also wrong to give it a false chance, america contradicts its self by banning it

It is a dilemma, no doubt. I'm pro-choice ONLY because I lived thru the pre-legal era of botched abortions...I know women will have them if they are legal or not...why force women into hotel rooms, and literal back alleys...However, there has to be a time limit...NO late term abortions...if ya can't get it done in the first trimester, then too bad, so sad...with adoption as a person's out.

***no mother wants to give birth and give it to adoption***

A woman who would generalize what no women want would be off the mark...a man generalizing what all or no women want is ridiculous.

What are you talking about? America hasnt banned it? As for Obama sucks because he allows abortion, did Bush suck because he allowed abortion?

As for why is abortion questioned, because people believe it is morally wrong...

Agree with Phrannie (I'm half a generation before her) because the alternative is often a botched abortion done under unimaginably unsanitary conditions. This is still the case many, many poor countries where birth control methods are unavailable and women can end up having a baby every year from aged 13 and onwards.

I don't think anyone LIKES the idea of abortion - but often the alternative can be a short, poverty- and disease-ridden life for mother and child.

I mention this because the question often comes up of giving foreign aid that also supports pro-choice options in developing countries. If you've lived in them, as I have, and seen the consequences of having neither contraception nor medical abortion, you might change your views.

Considering that we live in America which is a land of opportunity I say they have a good chance. This country is not as bad as the democrates would make it out to be. If you are a goth then I am sure you respect the free and indpenedent mind more then most people. If they end up in an appartment and work their fingers to the bone untill the day they die, they can still be happy.
