Abnormal periods for years

I had no period for 4 months..then I finally got it and it has lasted about 5 weeks...I have had my period last 3 months before...can you tell me anything besides go see a dr?

Impossible, this isn't a normal period.. a normal period lasts for 15 days MAXIMUM, and about your period being late, that's totally normal... my mum's friend is 37 and her period still gets late... and it happens to me, my period gets so late, it once reached 6 months... so yea, it's normal... but a period lasting for 5 WHOLE WEEKS??? I really don't think it's normal, you need to go see a doctor, thats the best thing you can do!! and the best advice I can give... sorry but its for your own good...

Try birth control. I was having similar problems, and YAZ really helped me.
Talk to your doctor about getting a prescription for it.
