A sign my period is coming or something else?

Ok so I noticed yesterday I was having a little brownish discharge *I usually have normal, clear discharge*. I usually get that on my period *which I know is normal* and I'm having that brownish discharge today too. I haven't had a period since May......

so is this a sign my period is coming or what?
Also, I am not having any pain or itching down there... so it's probably not an infection right?

it is Possibily a miscarige or your pregnant.

uh... I doubt I'm pregnant since I've never had sex...

well if you are young then your period can be irregular...but yes its usually a sign of your period starting...and when you end that can also happen nothing big 2 worry about

ok thanks again, and as a matter of fact - I kinda do have another period related question. Last night I got a little more of the brownish discharge so I figured it was coming, but it never did. I have had a lot of stuff on my mind lately *I'm having bff problems and stuff* so is this why my period is still not coming *haven't had it since may... but last year I skipped 2 months before having one and then had one*. So that's my question - what's up with me having this different discharge and my period not coming when usually I only have that kind of discharge when my period is about to start?

stress does also mess up your period. how old are you again if you dont mind me asking?? usually when you first get your period for about a year they always skip around and never are on time or normal unfortantly for me I always got mine on time from the day to the hour...it sucked!

anyway your period delayed can be due 2 stress, age, it could be in your genes...if your mom or any other relative had issues with getting their period on time or regularly then you are bound to have the same problem...

but you've never had sex...soo it a PLUS your NOT PREGNANT!!

you could also ask you mom to help you get on birth control to regulate your period

ok thanks sooo much your a big help! And I just turned 17 this year... have been having my period since I was about 13. Last year I had some irregular ones as well... I went 2 months once without having one. And I have been a bit stessed lately *bff problems and stuff*

Could the brownish discharge be from me not having a period for awhile so it's just like trying to get back in the swing of things again?

oh and this is an update for you so you'll know this too... when I peed tonight... I noticed that the brownish discharge sorta was clumpy then it went back to being regular discharge only brown. usually I don't get this type of discharge until my period is going to start or if my period is coming to an end.
So I'm wondering - is this just my body getting ready for my next period since I haven't had one since May? Am I just getting more discharge at first since I haven't had one in awhile?

alright this is another update - today when I went to pee, I noticed it was darker... sorta like blood... only like a really darkish red, almost like a rusty red. then I noticed there was also some spots that were kinda regular red *like normal*. So is my issue over with and my period is here or what?

also, I'm still getting some light brownish discharge, just now it has some faint red in it too...

seems like your body wants 2 get your period just hasnt lol... you could just have a light period its pretty much your period not heavy. the clumps are just blood clots no biggie. I'm 17 as well. but if I were you get on some b-pills it will make your life a hell of a lot easier not trying 2 guess your period. (it also clears up your skin!!! so thats a plus) lol and your thinking to much into it then you wont get it like people say if you think your preg and you sike urself out then you wont get your period on time but in your case your safe. but talk to your mom dad...guardian whomever and see if you can get on the pill/shot/nuva ring/etc...

and it is like you said - my body WANTS a period... but it like won't come lol
hope it'll come soon so I don't have to wonder when it'll FINALLY get here

oh and also, this is going to be 3 months since I last had one if it doesn't come again this month since my last one was in May of this year. Last year I recall going 2 months without having one. If I WOULD go 3 months, is that normal?

can be how many years have you had your period now?

are you a very active person? like running etc some people just cant get their body regulated its something 2 eventually look into

birthcontrol, nuva ring, iud, anything of that sort will probably help I wouldnt advise iud lol they are a lil pricey

I've been having my period since I was about 13.
And yes I am pretty active... I wouldn't say I'm one who just sits around. I like to get out and do stuff.
And yeah... my parents wouldn't let me use it anyway I don't think lol

Also, now the brownish discharge has sorta stopped... I'm still getting some but it's not near as dark anymore.

UPDATE - now I'm starting to just get regular discharge again... the brownish is COMPLETELY gone.

Omg I am twelve I get clear all day long but I am amberessed about it ok and now I never did anything like sex but I am kinda scared I had a leckage two years ago of blood nothing since just discharge help me...
