A normal vagina

My friends and I were discussing innie and outie vagina's. Innie being when no labia is visible and outie being where the labia protrudes from the surrounding skin of the vagina. A lot of my friends said theirs is either completely hidden or only...

just visible, mine how ever is very visible and stretched. It has made me very self conscious and it makes me worried that when I am intimate with a guy that they will be turned off, particular with my age group (I am sixteen). Even my mother said that a girl of my age should not have such a protruding labia and I don't know why it is like this. So basically I am asking, is this normal? I know there isn't necessarily an abnormal vagina but is this more uncommon and are people turned off by it? Because a lot of my friends think that is is gross. I have never cared in the past but now after this discussion with my friends it has made me worry :S

It's completly normal to have a protuding labia. Please do not worry about it! Every girls vagina is different (any experience man will know this!). And a lot of girls have visible labias. It's a total fluke that your friends don't and they are silly to think this is gross. As for what your Mom says, the way your vagina is made has nothing to do with age, it's just yours. Vaginas really do come in all sizes and colors, some have big clitoris some don't, some have little labias, some have one labia bigger then the other, and some just have big labias. To tell the truth, I have no idea about the abnormalities and common-ness of potruding labias. But I do know this. If you are worried about it affecting your sex-life, don't. Seriously, the guy you'll be with wont notice or even care, and I'm pretty sure will have other things on his mind. And on that note, he is probably worrying too much about what you will think of him etc etc - you know how it is. And if he does care, then personally I think he's so not worth it =)

yes, it is completely 100% normal. Just like there are all different hair colors, eye colors, heights and weights, there are diffent shape and sizes of vaginas. Your mother may not have seen a lot of them, and wouldn't know. I have seen many pictures in my mom's medical dictionary that depict them in all different ways. Don't worry, it is normal.
