A lesion?

Shark Atack Asked by funadvice about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

My foot has been really hurting me. The doctor took an xray. And called my mom and said it was a lesion on my bone in my foot. Anyone know what that is?

A bone lesion is essentially abnormal bone tissue.

With your foot - there are MANY different forms, it just depends on the area of your foot. A lesion is generally defined as either being benign (non cancerous) or malignant (cancerous)... odds are it is benign, however you will more than likely (I would hope so anyhow) undergo a biopsy - where they should actually remove the entire lesion, but then a small portion would be sent off to be tested to determine if it is or is not cancerous.
