89 jeep problems

Asked by dnnllb 4 months ago, 2 answers.

My 89 jeep seems to be having vacuum problems. When I use the brake the engine dies. I replaced the vacuum hoses, but this now seems to make it run worse.
Anyone had the same problem and what did you do, besides having to take it to a mechanic?

I'd just take it to the mechanic. It sounds like the sort of thing that isn't easy to fix at home. I know someone who had a similar problem with their car and it was something to do with wires being connected to the wrong place and something to do with the petrol tank as well but I can't remember exactly what the problem was. It had to be taken to the mechanic to be repaired though so it's probably best to just take it in case you do any more damage. Sorry to not be of much use. If I remember exactly what was wrong with it, I'll reply again here.
