50's fashion

smile ;; it's the best medicine. Asked by mandyyy 4 months ago, 2 answers.

I'm having a 16th birthday party, and it's a 50's theme. I need advice on outfits, hair, shoe's all that fun stuff. (: Any ideas ?

Thank you.

First, that's a cute theme wink

Well for a dress, I'd get something with a poof, sort of like a baby-doll dress. Polka dots were really hip in the fifties, along with stripes and ribbons. Well that's what my grandma tells me. Haha. For Any girl, poodle skirts and button tops are cute. Really bright and retro colors would fit well. For girl's hair big curls were in back then. So were thick head bands and flowers in your hair.

As for boys, they dressed very nice. In dress pants, long sleved shirts, and dress shoes. Their hair was usually slicked back with gel.

Funmail me if you need more ideas. I love helping out with sweet 16's!
