2 week eurotrip

I'm going to Spain, France and Italy next week and staying there for 2 weeks. I'm going with a tour group and we're doing something at all times. I have an idea of what to bring (books , extra contacts, a sweater, ect) but does anyone have any advice...

on what I could have onthe train rides or flight that would help pass time?

Anyone have any good traveling tips they would like to share with me?

do you like reading? oh my god, I could read non-stop for days given a good book and the time! find some books that are really interesting, I'm a bit of a geek so I love the doctor who new books, they're great ;OD if not, then how about a personal dvd player or dslite? there what I use on looong trips! other than that, I am sure you'll be too busy having fun with your friends to even see a whole movie!
