I'm 20 and I might be getting braces...is it pathetic that I'm getting them at an older age???

try invisalign if your embarassed. but I dont think its pathetic because like the other person said, youre gonna love your teeth after. and your still young.

no. it means you're gunna have beautifully straight teeth very soon. I've seen 40 yr olds with braces.

no not at all my mom got hers at 29 and nobody even cared it just made everyone think she was younger and my sister (but thats because she's only 5'3)! She's 35 now and has straight teeth so dont worry about braces no one will care that your older!

Exactly, coneman.

A friend of mine didn't get braces until she was almost 30. She never had them as a kid, her parents really didn't think she needed them and they couldn't afford them. A pretty common problem, so I assure you it's not pathetic.

It's actually better getting them at 20, because then your teeth and jaw has stopped developing and the braces will have a lasting affect, whereas sometimes when teenagers get them, their teeth goes *out of line* again when they get taken off.

Plus most people don't even notice braces.
