Don't forget what a muscle car is. A muscle car is a mid-sized coupe with the largest size engine shoehorned into it. Muscle cars are not sophistocated, they are powerful and fast but do not have the handling and braking capability of a sports car.

BMW does not make muscle cars, they make sports sedans and sports cars. A Skyline GTR is not a muslce car, it is a sports car (or perhaps a super car). When Chevrolet dropped a Corvette engine into an Impala that is a muscle car. The Corvette itself isnt' a muscle car because it is too expensive and sophistocated; the Corvette is a sports car.

I can't think of any modern muscle cars. Until a few years ago the Pontiac GTO was the modern interpretation of the 60's muscle car. It didn't sell well so I doubt that any new muscle cars will come out.

The closest current car to muscle cars is probably the Chrysler 300 Hemi though it is a sedan rather than a mid-size coupe.
