my periods are currently like that... used to be much, much worse...
I talked to my mum.. because I knew it wasn't anything that would freak her out...
and she told me I had to gain my weight... I was seriously underweight..yet healthy...
now I've been to my doctor...*with and without my mum*.. and he prescribed me the pill... he said ussually it makes a person gain a little weigt.. but thats all that I needed and once my periods get regular.. he'd just get me off it... and now im off it...
point is... go see your doctor ... maybe without your parent(s) if that helps
talk to your mum aswel.. its health related and she could help you more than you can imagine...
hope I've helped..x
hmmm I think you may be underweight?
wats your height?
because I too was underweight one time for my height and I had a period like every 2 and half months,
your problem tho sounds a little more extreme.
and really, I know you dont to talk to your mum about it, but you have to incase there is a serious problem.
and please see a doctor
put all embrassment or worries aside and just try to get it sorted or at least talk to someone and they could ask the doctor for u.
watever happens, gd luck x
It could be because you are not at a high enough weight. Or if you just started getting your period within the last few years it could be due to that. Also, people who are extremely athletic dont get the period regularly. It is quite normal for younger girls to not have regular periods. Its usually not a reason for concern.
I lost a lot of weight and fell dangerously underweight. I stopped getting my period at around 112 pounds. (I'm 5'7) In recovery for my eating disorder they taught me that being underweight to the point that your loosing your period can give you reproduction problems later in life and if bad enough can ever render you infertile. Its really important to gain weight if your under so you have a regular period every 4 to 6 weeks, especially if you are planning to have kids later in life.

16 years old and period problems
I'm 16 years old and weigh around 100-105. I am an average teenager. but the only problem is that I dont get my period every month. I get it once and a while. I probably get 2-3 a year. I no I'm not pregnant, but I do practice safe sex meathods. I am...
involved with sports that keep me active. I rarley get sick and my stress level is what a teenager should have. with those 3 major issues on why most people dont get it every month is cleared. I have nothing else to think of why I dont get it. I refuse to see a gyno and I wont ask my mom because she will freak out. I dont know what to do please can someone help me out.
