Is it okay for an 12 year old girl to date a 17 year old guy?

best friend is in this situation and I want to help her, but I don't know what to say. She says she loves him and wants to make him happy. If her mom tells her she can't see him anymore she's going to run away with him. I don't know how to help her. Any advice?

well he is way to old for your friend and if I was in this situation I would not give him sex even if I loved him. I would break up with him and move on.

its not about making him happy its about making her happy. this guy is a jerk and she deserves so much better. he shouldn't make her do anything, my boyfriend never once rushed me in to anything in fact it was me asking him if we could but thats another story!

basically hes using her and if she goes away she'll end up getting pregnant/getting her heartbroken- one of them atleast. I see it happen all the time. You need to help her out big time. She cant run away, the guy could go to prison not only for having sex with her but for kidnapping. Does she realise that?

her mum does right aswell. your friend needs rid of him asap. and I highly doubt she'll be in love at 12 years old. Shes lovesick but not in love.
