Wicca is actually moder, though it is inspired (a bit) by heathen relgions,

Wicca was the Old English male form of witch, the female being wicce, their craft/art was wiccecraeft (witchcraft).

Rede is also from an Old English word and survives in Northumbrian and Scots English with the meaning s counsel, advise and council and advice. It was in Old Englsih ræd, red (advice) and rædan, redan (advise, explain, read) and was the element in such names as Rædwulf and Rædwald, Ælfred. As may be obvious the Standard English read (as in to read a book...etc...) is also from this root.

It´s ironic for a religion that is so anti-Germanic (unless it is Seax-Wica of course) they use a lot of words from a Germanic culture/language...though most of the time they claim they are Gaelic derived (which is impossibly a lot of the time anyway as some letters cannot go together in Gaelic...not to mention we know the root of most of these words) rather than English. Aw shucks!

orion, the bible is one of most evil books around. It's malicious, malevolent, more grusome than any other book Ive set eyes upon, including the devil's bible necronomicon(of corse the false on written by Lovecraft), or any book of black magick I've ever read.

actually wicca strings from pre-christian paganism and a gentleman apparently wrote the wiccan law for rules told to him by the coven from the new forest in the uk many years ago, then his book was re-wrote by a lady called Alexandra wicca. hence wicca. and as for the rede i have this on scroll and it's only a small part of the introduction page from the coven's original , and as for blood and stuff, it's not so much as in the blood but in the faith and faith tends to run in family's
