Stick with 'your' definition of a jew. Why listen to a jew regarding the meaning of a jew. As long as you think of jews as a nationality it makes it easy to deny their religion. We are not christian and do not 'believe' so why bother to get it correct...after all, my religion does not matter to you. I select to stick with my understanding of christians....we need to be in israel to fulfill 'your',meaning christian, prophecy. Surely you understood that by 'your' I meant christian....

I am sorry, you seem so bitter, it was not my intention to stir stife, that is not why I am here, if I have offended you, I appologize, it truly was not my intent. I am aware of the religion of Judasism, and I respect it, it is also my belief that the Jewish people are the direct decendants of the Israelites, spoken of in the bible. I know you are not Christian, and that is your right. I am not trying in any way to condemn you, or your heritage. I have the highest regard for the biblical people, that are Gods chosen. Nothing nor no one will ever change that. Also, the bible commands me to love you. However, it also commands me to stand for what I percieve to be the truth, and for that, I offer no appologies.

Yes, I disagree. A jew practices judaism, a religion. Jew or jewish does not refer to a nationality. I believe you are confusing Jew with Israelite. A Jew is any person whose mother was a Jew or any person who has gone through the formal process of conversion to Judaism. A jew does not have to be descended from Abraham. Also it is not just Abraham...it is Abraham, Issac and Jacob. Though I disagree with your definitions, your response here is miles better than your 'what is a jew' answer. As for your great respect for jews and your support of Israel, sorry...still not buying it. I think that you probably fall into the christian category that wants the jews in Israel to fulfill the prophecy of the return of Christ. In other words...it's not jews that you want the U.S. to protect...it's that you want Israel to be jewish for your prophecy.
Sounds kinda like the difference in Amish and Mennonite... forgive my ignorance, but, I choose to stick with my understanding. Also, I have no prophecies of my own, and I respect the Jewish people, because the bible commands it. The biblical prophecies will bring themselves to pass, without any help from me. I am simply a witness.
