I read the advice you had for the job-seeking felon. I too was a teacher who got caught up in the dope life a decade ago, and I continue to pay the consequences. I was just laid off a job I had for seven years. It was by no means my "dream" job--in fact, sometimes it felt like part of my punishment. I have grown in my recovery and in my faith, and I do believe there is something else I am supposed to be doing. So, I'm starting a job search...I'm scared and anxious...thanks for the advice...I feel I'll be better prepared if I have an explanation in hand.
