Hi!

Great question. I can understand how you might think that. We Americans are conditioned to think that X percentage of us are suicidal--and that it's genetically caused, or caused by brain chemistry. And then we're conditioned to think that only some chemical can change the depression because it's one chemical overcoming another.

So in this environment, yours is a logical question.

But the social conditioning--what you and I are "supposed to" think--has been promoted in America since the 1950s by the psychiatric industry and their allies the pharmaceutical companies who make the psychiatric drugs.

As long as they can make more and more of us think we need their pills, they stay rolling in money.

As you take a clearer look and think more and more for yourself, you'll see that depression can usually be caused by changing the people in one's environment who are trying to spiritually crush a person -- trying to make you think you're inadequate in some way. Take a quick mental look, and you'll know who they are.

Often, you can simply tell them that you won't put up with being picked on or belittled. You may have to tel lthem a few times. Sometimes you may have to ask parents or other trusted relatives for their help. In severe cases, you may have to go to authorities like police. If you're dealing with someone who is a real nut case, you may want to consider moving away as early as possible.

No matter what--the more school and better grades you get, the better you will do later in life. That stuff really does matter.

But there are MANY things anyone can do to help themselves out of depression.

Very best,
GreenOnions.
