  • How can the abrahamaic god be omnibenevolent? (0.00%)
The references to flames are a figure of speech. If you try to take it literally, it makes not sense. Think about it. Hell is supposed to be a place of darkness, yet there is fire burning? No. The flames in the bible are also associated with God, and J...

  • How does it feel for all of you to be baptized in your church?
For me, it wasn't as monumental. I was baptized as a baby, and raised in the church, so I have always had a feeling of belonging. When I was... thirteen? I decided to be re- baptized. I believe baptism to be a decision that should be made on your own, ...

  • How can the abrahamaic god be omnibenevolent?
arachnid: The key point to answering your question is in your wording. You have loaded this question to the point where it's like asking. "When did you stop beating your wife?" No matter how I reply, I'm doomed from the outset if I accept your wordi...

  • How can the abrahamaic god be omnibenevolent? (0.00%)
Ah, you have changed the question. You went from torture in hell, to torture on this Earth. I don't think people really suffer on Earth, at least compared to what hell has to offer. Also, God works through this "suffering" like I said above. But alas, ...

  • How can the abrahamaic god be omnibenevolent?
Since when does knowledge and control mean the same thing? If a child's parents know that their child will become a doctor, does that mean that they now have instant control over that decision? No. It is still that child's choice to determine which car...

  • How can the abrahamaic god be omnibenevolent?
Arachnid: I just recently wondered the same question that you have, and have come up with a possible answer. Some people believe in Calvinism, which is that God already knows the set number of people that are going into heaven, and that set number w...

  • How come so many people ask about God?
Your probability dismissal proves MY point exactly. It seems almost impossible! How can such species survive for so long without a master plan? You also state that humans evolve at an extremely slow rate, and yet there is no fossil record of creatu...

  • How come so many people ask about God?
arachnid: I am no science major. I'm more comfortable with the liberal arts fields myself. What I challenge you to do is think about the probability of all of these systems combining together to form this complexity that explains our world. How co...

  • How come so many people ask about God?
arachnid: you are asking the impossible. I am a Christian myself and cannot give you textile evidence that what I am doing is true. However, if you were to ask me whether I would bet my life and everyone I knows lives my beliefs, I could say with ex...

  • What part did religion/spirituality play in the founding of America (100.00%)
I think everyone is familiar with the phrase "One nation, under God". It suggests that there is the incorporation of religion in the founding of this country.

  • Is god real?
I've said this before. Just by looking at the aurora borealis or the mountains in China, you can see that God exists. There is no way to explain the complexities of life otherwise. People are not driven by fear anymore. Back before the years of enlig...

  • Is bleaching your hair bad?
any chemical treatment will damage hair, but there are ways to counteract it with conditioners and products. I'm sure it's not horrible, but don't quote me on it. Personally, I say carpe diem! Your young, go for it! Hair is hair!

  • What part did religion/spirituality play in the founding of America (100.00%)
The morals of Christianity were instituted, but not the actual religion. That is why you see references to God. However, the word "god" can be put towards any religion, making it versatile. They were for religious freedom, so they did not pin down a re...

  • How Does God speak?
This may sound crazy, but asking the question yourself, and then talking through it, researching it in the bible, and praying about it helps me. I find myself having a conversation with God by just asking myself the question, then writing down the thou...

  • How come so many people ask about God?
silver wings, I admire your inquisitiveness, but am disgusted by your stupidity. Did you honestly think that you would not get mocked for posting religious questions? Although I am all for you standing up for Christianity, the passive aggressive stuff ...

  • How can one be born again?
I disagree with religionisgood. Being born again has everything to do with Jesus Christ. However, we probably have conflicting religions. God knows man's incompetence for following the rules, so he made it easy. Believe that God's perfect son, Jesu...

  • How come so many people ask about God? (100.00%)
if people have questions about religion, why discourage them? Instead of making fun of them, try answering them. For those who think it's too preachy, ignore. I would rather have a question answered truthfully by someone, then just be mocked because pe...

  • Inquiring minds... want to know... (100.00%)
You have a lot of questions, and hopefully I answer most of them. If not, just ask away again. God has unlimited power, but he limits his power himself. I don't know how much you know, but I'll share with you what I do: You can be sure that God exis...

  • 16 turning 17 and pregnant, what to do?
Look, you are young. Whether you want to admit it or not, you still use sentences with numbers in it like 4 and 2. I am not trying to be mean, but I am trying to be blunt. You cannot candy coat the situation. There is no problem with the fact that you ...
