  It's okay not to believe (you can't force yourself after all). What's important is having good morals (like "no killing people"), or karma/bad luck will bite you on the butt.

  Go to the library, there are tons of books on the subject. : ) Then you can get to know the basics pretty fast. From then on, you just follow your own path and what you believe-how, I've no idea.
