yes. it damages it whenever you use it. use a thermal heating protection spray before straightening. it protects against heat damage and gives shine to your hair

do NOT get sun-in. all professionals will tell you not to get it. it ruins your hair and makes it turn an orange color, then when you try to dye your hair, it ends up lighter and if you dont get the right undertones it can turn your hair an ugly green ...
