It takes several months and sometimes up to a year for the feathers to all grow back the way they were.
Go in a room where its kinda dark and use a flashlight. Hold the egg and put the flashlight under the egg to where you can see the inside and if you see a black circle in the middle of the egg and little red vaines it means its fertile.
