Yes, you can bring your dog into their home. Hart worms are transmitted by mosquitoes, not by other contact. Your dog can get hart worms unless you keep him away from mosquitoes 100% of the time or give him monthly hart worm pills.
1. Go to Borders or Barns and Nobel and get a couple of books on dog training e.g. Puppies for Dummies, or similar. 2. Get chew toys or treats (e.g. Pizzle Sticks) that will satisfy your dogs need to chew. 3. If he chews on you hard enough to hurt, ...
