I have gotten a perm before, I really cant remember that much damage actually, but you know a lot of things can damage your hair so I think that you should just go ahead and do it.

Ok, I know this really pretty(emo) chick and she has really long hair, she just got the top layer cut really short, and she scruches the top, straigtens her bangs and the rest of her hair. its actually kinda cute.
