Hair grows at a different rate, depending on the individual. Long hair care takes attention and time. Here are some of the factors that have to do with how fast hair grows: * Body chemistry
On average people grow 1/2 an inch of hair a month ...or 6 inches a year.
1. Get a trim every few months to keep split ends under control.
Hope this helps. xox

It's perfectly normal to be concerned, since I assume many of your friends have started having periods. Getting your first period is an important event! The age at which women in a family get their first period tends to be related. You might check with your mother (and sisters, if you have any) to see when they got their first periods. Some girls don’t get their first period until they are 16 years old, and they’re still normal. However, by the time a girl is 14, there are nearly always signs that her body is making the sex hormones that are related to having periods. If your breasts haven’t developed at all, and/or you don’t have any darker, coarse hair in your pubic area, I recommend that you get checked out by a doctor. And, if you remain concerned after reading this, I think it’s a good idea to discuss your concerns with your doctor. The doctor will want to talk with you and examine your breasts and pubic area. Then the doctor will be able to give you information about how close you are to having periods. Exams can be uncomfortable (for both teens AND adults!). But remember, it's for the doctor to help you. Talk with your doctor about your concern(s) and he/she might be able to keep the embarrassing exam portions to a minimum. xox
